1. Every two weeks, I go to Fluer Elysee Salon in Atlanta, GA and get a blow out and press.
2. I apply a small amount of coconut oil to my scalp and massage 3 x per week. I apply the left over oil in my hands to my hair for added sheen. I learned this tip from DE from Beautylogicblog. Since, I have been doing this, my hair is growing faster and always has a nice shine.
3. Every night I pile my hair on top of my head and place a soft cotton headband around the pile. I then lightly wrap my head in a silk scarf. In the morning, I simply run a comb through my hair and go. If I need a little extra curl or body, I take large sections of my hair and use my flat iron to create big curls.
And that is my hair care routine! I think it is pretty simple and low maintenance. My blow out usually lasts two weeks unless I sweat a lot or somehow get it wet. I would love to hear your hair care routine. Please share. I am always looking for new hair care tips!

@indiankarma Thanks a bunch! I would use it once a day, but it does weigh down my hair. Maybe I should use a teeny tiny amount once daily? Thanks for the follow up article. I went to the salon today and my stylist said my hair was in great shape! I had not been in a while. I attribute this to the coconut oil!
